Default Bypass Transponder

I have a beat up old 2004 Honda Element that my G/F just lost the key in the forest. We searched for hours with no luck and ended up towing the thing back to my house. A new key is $200 or.... YOU! I'm trying to figure out how to get around it. Some background:

About 2 months ago the tumbler was shot. That was going to be $500 + labor. Instead I pulled all the pins from the tumbler thanks to some pics and mental power. Now (as long as we had the transponder) any key would turn the ignition, just not turn the fuel on.

Ideas so far:
Sauder some chip off (I didn't like this one)
Run power directly to fuel pump with switch (this one sounded great, would it work? Anyone have pics)

Car keeps having issues not worth fixing. It's about worth $2,000. So a 10% fee for the key is ridiculous!

find ANY honda key thats from that generation (or buy one online) and bring it to your honda dealer to get the transponder programmed.

Pay for an alarm or re-program another key.
