Has anyone ever installed a wiring kit for trailer lights on a 2016 CRV, to allow you to pull a trailer? If so, can you tell me what wiring kit is available, who you bought it from, etc? I’d like to buy one.

I bought a wiring kit from Curt, the T-Connector 56158. Their website says it will work, it has instructions to take off the plastic cover on the back, inside, drivers side. It says there is a blue connector there, that you unplug and plug the connectors from their kit into.

However, on my 2016 CRV Touring, there is no blue connector, no wiring that looks like that. My guess is that they have a kit and instructions from the 2015 model, and that Honda changed the wiring for 2016, and that Curt didn’t do their homework to figure out that Honda changed it.

I called Curt and complained, told them it didn’t work. They’ve now changed their website, at least it now doesn’t say that they have one.

Does anyone know if a wiring kit is available for the 2016 CRV?
