2007 Civic Si Transmission
Back in August, my transmission would make a clunking noise after every rotation. Took it to a shop, and they said the transmission needed to be replaced. Bought a parts car and swapped transmissions along with a new clutch, etc.
After driving for about 25km, the car made a pop noise and wouldn't drive. The speedometer would still go up and everything but the car wouldn't move and also would not stall in whichever gear I put it in. It also made a sort of grinding or whirring noise that was most noticeable in 6th gear or in reverse.
Took it back to my garage, swapped the cv axle with the one from the parts car but that still wasn't the issue. Decided to throw the original transmission back in as after research I figured it would have just been the throwout bearing making the clunking noise. (while doing this I noticed there was oil all over the subframe and when draining the tranny fluid there was only 0.5 of a quart, when there should be about 1.5).
Got everything back together, car moved literally a foot this time (made the clunking noise) and the speedometer shot right back up and would no longer move (now both trannys have done this).
So, I am stuck on what to do now. My original transmission still makes the clunking noise after putting a new throwout bearing on, and the other transmission leaked all that fluid, while both don't move anymore.
