2001 crv key removed engine still runs
Purchased this crv last week and it is giving me a headache
Lady I bought it from said it wouldn't run.
She had a in experienced guy do routine maintenance (plugs, wires, cap, rotor)
First thing I did was check the firing order on the cap. Turns out it was wrong! Put the wires on correct and Boom, it started!
Went for a test drive and everything is working great, the car runs really good.
I pulled it in my garage and it won't shut off!
Everyone is going to chime in saying two things, ignition switch or main relay.. BOTH are oem new parts and the problem still exists
Couple things to note,
when I remove the key, it is a little more dim on all dash lights.
Srs light is on
I am really stumped with this one!
Help a brother out

If the ignition switch was replaced, then there is a short in the wiring or another electrical component. It is even possible someone jerry rigged some wiring trying to get the car to run before, causing it to stay on after you corrected the firing order.
The ignition switch wire harness has a 5-P brown connector plugged into the under-dash fuse box. With the ignition switch turned off, with a voltmeter, check if there is power on the Blk/Yel wire. If there is, the short can be along the ignition switch harness, ignition switch. If there is no power on the Blk/Yel wire, then the short may exist anywhere along the path from the under-dash fuse box (harness connector at rear of fuse box) to a Red wire that goes from the interior fuse box, out to the engine bay to then a 10P gray connector, which then connects to another Blk/Yel wire leading to the distributor.
