What to get for boyfriends 99 Integra Dc2 Type R
Hi all, not too sure if I'm even in the right place but...
Just wondering if there are any mods or something I could treat my boyfriend to for his Integra. He loves the thing and wants to take it to the Nurburgring next year but as its about 16/17 years old it's old and ropey.
The engine definitely needs to be done up as the red is coming off of it and the wheels aren't the originals. Obviously it has a few age related scars and what not but if someone could give me ideas on what would be good for it or have any idea that an Integra owner might want/need for it then I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks

He has made a comment on wanting to get the steering wheel refurbished. Are steering wheels easy to find though? I know on eBay there is usually about 1 or 2 but I don't know where else to look

they have the wheel, you'll have to get a hub for it as well.
not cheap either but it would look sharp inside there.

You mentioned that the red paint was peeling off of his motor under the hood? Buy him a new OEM valve cover. Easiest way to freshen up under the hood.
I've decided to get him a new rocker cover in Crinkle red. Contacted a guy who refurbishes Honda stuff and is charging £75 if I can get my OH to take the Honda down and get it fitted when we get there. Otherwise it will be £125. Thanks for the help!
Does it have an immobilizer key? If not, you could get one of these cut to his VIN#: JDM Integra DC2 DB8 Type R Blank Key
this ones sounding like a keeper. hopefully hes got full coverage insurance, because if youre doing it right accidents happen..
My cam cover is also pealing.
If you Facebook 'spooner restorations' or google it he should come up. His work looks good and does wheel refurbishment and loads of other stuff. https://www.facebook.com/SpoonerRestorations/
^I think that one's in the UK. This guy is in North America (Toronto Canada):

I agree, nothing like a fresh new OEM cover. The reds never look the same, to me atleast.
