Default 2006 Honda civic won't go in reverse

I have a 2006 Honda civic automatic that won't go in reverse. Sometimes it just sounds like it's in neutral others it has a grinding/humming noise. Any way to get it into reverse? Or do I need to get a new tranny? Any suggestions

did you ever replace the ATF oil? If the shift linkage isnt damaged most likely you need another trans or rebuild. How many miles?
