I just bought my first Honda and its pretty much the coolest thing since a wheel of cheese BUT my question is that it shifts through all gears like a champ but putting it in reverse it makes a loud grinding noise ONLY when im rolling backwards, if im at a standstill and put it in reverse it goes in fine???? and my buddy who owns a Honda says his does the same thing.Honda thing or do we both have serious problems haha thanks

@ a standstill always 1st, then reverse and you'll never scratch reverse. Yes, its a Honda thing(flaw)

its the spur gear... common in hondas

pretty sure the manual even states to shift into first before you shift into reverse.
