Default Ultra Racing Side Lower Floor Bars...thoughts?

Hi-

Does anyone have experience using Ultra Racing products? I am looking for thoughts on their lower floor bars specifically. They appear to tie the front subframe to the rear trailing arm area with a connection in the middle near the seat bolts.

Looks like a great way to lighten the wallet while increasing the weight of the car.

If they do anything it's probably going to be the same as any other body bracing... Perhaps some qualitative improvement in the feel or solidity of the car, but zero actual increase in performance. Whether or not that is valuable is up to you.

Me personally? I like the way tower bars and such make the car feel, but it wouldn't be anywhere near the top of my list. I also have no interest in my seat belt anchors sharing roles with anything else aside from keeping my *** where it belongs in the car.

Increasing the rigidity of the car is never a bad thing. The increased feel and response isn't going to be measured in lap times but it's what good chassis designs attempt to increase. You'll never hear, "we improved this year's model by decreasing the rigidity of the car 10%"....

Things like strut bars are NOT suspension parts, they should not be used in the same sentence as sway bars. Yet ppl always do....

However, just looking at those bars, I don't get why it just doesn't complete the damn triangle. It's sorely lacking the rigidity you'd think something that large of a span would increase.

Oh well.
