need help with tranns fluid

Default need help with tranns fluid

I was hoping someone can help me on finding the right transmission oil for my 96 hondaaccord (Manuel trans) (F22B1) iv been seeing that people use engine oil in it but not to sure if i like to do that. Or is it safe i just dont want to mess anything up. TIA

Hmm alldata (which is one of the main automotive repair information sources) calls for 10w-30 or 10w-40. I find that funny because for the b16 and b18 it says Honda mtf, or 10w-30 10w-40 as a temporary replacement. I have used 20w-50 in my trans for year and never had a problem.

Torco MTF or 10w-30.
