im running a z6 in my 91 dx. i have the 91 si dizzy and ecu. i have the corrrect wiring to the ecu and sensors but still doesnt rev past 3300. do i need to change out the injectors? of so do i need the 91 si injectors. thanks
Sounds like you're in limp mode. Is the check engine light on, if so pull back the passenger side carpet and count how many times the red light flashes and report back to us.
What exactly is your setup? Which ECU are you using? Is it wired for OBD-1? What year/model is your car?
It's not letting you rev past 3k because 'limp' mode is on. Your check engine light should be on - see which code it's coming up with.

i know what u problem its... look at the ecu and it should blink 4 times.. thats the crank angle sensor... that as a bitch to work on... i had that fixed by a perf shop;... they told me i had both crank angle cables switched...make sure that the crank angle sensor cables are correct. if they are, invert them real quick and try to start it after u reset the ecu again....
i talked to lilgreenhonda last night and i think i figured out his problem, when he swapped his motor he left teh z6 injectors in and didnt putin the crx si ones so you cant run the z6 with the resistor box b/c they are not low impeadence, so whenever he changes them his troble will be gone.. end of story
I don't think that would cause that kind of problem. I had HF injectors(OBD-0) in my OBD-1 ZC and it reved all the way up to redline. I also converted the ZC to OBD-0 and used the OBD-1 injectors with and without the resistor box and it still went to redline, although extended use WILL fry the incorrect injectors. Not that splicing out the resitor box would be a big deal for your friend, I just don't think that will solve his problem. I still vote for a MAP sensor problem.

this happened to my rex when I was bringing it home... I didnt want to turn it off cause the battery was not charged so when I got home i turned it off and turned it back on and it was fine and still is fine... I assumed that it was a fuel pressure problem so I cleaned the fuel system and then did a tune up, which it needed anyway. This only shows that it could be a number of differnet things...
