im almost done with my mpfi but i got a pm8 ecu? my friends tell me its from a 90-91 civic si? is this a good ecu for sohc zc? i got it from a junkyard so if its not the right one ill just get the 91 crx si ecu ;/ but it looks like the right one to me

the PM8 comes off the CRX HF if i am not mistaken.... it will run, but maybe too lean... that ecu was designed for fuel economy...and a very little engine that has no power...

 

The PM8 is out of an HF. You will need a PM6 which is out of the 88-91 Si.

 

so i will need to return my pm8 and get a pm6? what about a pm7? isnt that a ls ecu? which would be better? the 89 integ ls ecu or the 91 si ecu

 

so how much of a difference is there for power between my pm8 and pm6 for my car?

The PM5 is out of a Civic/CRX DX. This won't even work with the mpfi. You need either a PM6 or the PG7. Be careful with the PG7. It will have to be from a 88 or 89. The 86 and 87 are different and won't work. Also make sure you get one from a 5 speed if you go that route.
