The next thing on my list for my Del Sol is to do exhaust work. Im wanting to replace everything from manifold to the muffler except the cat. The exhaust is currently broken/ missing 3 feet or so after the cat. Im on a budget and i was looking on eBay for a cheap cutback plus header kit. I found this 93 96 97 Honda Del Sol D16 DOHC Catback Exhaust Header | eBay
For $145 shipped! Thats pretty cheap. My future plans is to buy a stock muffler or something that is a little more low profile then a 4.5 inch can. My question is would a stock muffler be a direct mount to a catback system like this? Sorry if it seems like I'm asking something that is obvious this is my second car and first honda.
I know for the $145 price tag i can't expect something amazing but can it be that bad? (Bad as in it won't last more then 6 months)

 

This is what it sounds like currently (I was seafoaming the engine in the video thats why its smoking) The highest i revved it in the video was 2500k rpm. Its extremely loud not sure if you can tell in the video. Im hoping the that kit i posted above would be significantly quieter. Im new to hondas so i never really heard any with different exhaust set ups to compare them to.

 

Also considering this Honda Del Sol 93 97 EG JDM Full Catback Exhaust Combo Catback Header Down Pipe | eBay as it is 4 inches instead of 4.5 and has the "high flow" pipe which will make it easier to cut and weld the cat in then just directly bolt it on.

 

ebay headers are horrible. rockauto.com you can buy pre bent flanged oem equivalent piping.
