Don't even know where to begin
I know this has been asked but I still can't figure it out. I have an aftermarket cluster put in that glows instead of bulbs. I got it to work by splicing into the wires I needed, went to screw The cluster in place and the glow went off. I respliced everything just in case, and it's still not working.
It's not the dimmer, it's not the fuse. Any clues?

How'd you splice them? Maybe the connections you made aren't very good and while putting the cluster into the dash the connection came loose? Maybe it's wired wrong? Does the cluster have a schematic or instructions? What wires did you splice into?
You need to describe the cluster and exactly how you wired it.
Not sure of the cluster brand or whatever. I bought the car this way and in trying to fix it up.
Spliced into these harnesses. Not sure what they're for but I know there's power on them. Splice positive to positive on one harness and negative to negative on there other harness. It was working before I bolted in place in. Now I can't figure out how to get them on again.
It also has his box attached to all the cords for the glow. But a blue wire, that's not attached to anything, is also there. WTH?

In the second picture, what do the two white connectors plug into? Or are they loose? If loose, please post close up front and back pictures of the two connectors.
I obtained a tachometer without any instructions, so I've taken It upon myself to figure it out online. My tach comes with several other wires, more than any other instructions I can find show. I can't find anything that says where to put the yellow wire off my tach.
Also, my 93 Ej2 came with a nonworking temp gauge as it was. I looked for the plug under the hood that you put the green wire on, and found that nothing was connected to it.
Once I got it all together how everywhere shows, I tried it and it didn't work. Would the "plug" be bad? Especially when nothing was even ran to or from it? Or could it be the yellow wire?

Call the company who sold you the tachometer.
The unknown 4P white connector is for the clock. You tapped into the clock Red/Blk wire, which is for the clock light protected by fuse 19. Check whether fuse 19 is blown. Does the aftermarket cluster also have an inline fuse?

Last time I checked the fuse it was fine, but it doesn't hurt to check again. I'm thinking the cluster does have a fuse in that blue box I posted a pic of. I didn't put this thing in, and I have no clue how to get the box out without pulling the steering wheel and all out.
Maybe there's a short in the wires it's all connected to. But I'm not sure how to check all that. Especially without a multimeter.
Buy an inexpensive multimeter if you wish to do electrical work. Otherwise take your car to shop.
