Default Tighter steering response

98 civic CX
Manual steering rack , ex front sway bar, progress cs2 coilovers 350/350 . 205/50/15 kumho decent all seasons.

The car handles well I'm looking to add a 22 mm rear sway soon.

My question is how can I take out some play in the steering wheel? I know tires could be a lot stickier but I'm wondering what other modifications would help reduce steering wheel play. I also have replaced the outer and inner tie rods . ball joints look good too. I'm not looking to replace all bushings with all poly right now. Just looking for some upgrades in the future to improve my suspension.

Thanks

play in the steering wheel? replace the rack.

an alignment is absolutely necessary after replacing any of those parts you listed, I hope you got one after.

upgrades would be bigger rear bar, as you stated you plan to get. and stiffer springs, adjustable dampers, poly bushings, and a custom alignment

Replace rack end bushing and adjust the steering pinion.

If it never has been done before, it absolutely needs it by now.

No need to buy a rebuilt rack, there's nothing more to rebuild than the rack end bushing, $11 part.

Oh OK is the adjustment for the rack . That huge bolt on the driver side, do you know of any DIY or tutorials on adjusting it and replacing those end bushings?
