94 Accord No Crank No Start
Hello,
A couple morning ago I got into my 1994 DX Accord 207,000mi and it wouldn't crank. Today I took the battery in and got it tested and it was bad (almost 5 years old and leaking). I put a new battery in and still get the same issue. I turn the key on, then turn it to crank and i just hear a click from the engine bay. I took a wrench to my engine and it spins fine, oil is always filled, brand new battery now. My next guess would be a bad starter/solenoid? I just want some opinions before I go blow another $100 on a starter. Last summer I had a couple instances where it did this, but I just tried a few more times and it would crank. Could it also be the main relay (I used to have the issue where it wouldn't start after it was hot but fixed it by re-soldering the main relay)? I checked all the fuses I could see and they were intact. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

The dash lights dim when I turn the key to start, so it seems to be pulling a load. Also I tapped in the starter a few times using a hammer and the handle end of a screwdriver (not too hard) but that didn't seem to help.
The best thing to do if the starter is suspected is to hit it really really hard with something metal. That should be enough to wiggle the starter contacts to touch and start the engine,, provided the starter is bad.
What you should do first is test for voltage going to the small connector that connects to the starter when you turn the ignition to start.
