Default I messed up (Header Installation)

As i was taking off my old headers, there was one bolt that was stuck so i used a breaker bar to get it off. The entire bolt snapped off for some reason. Everything still runs fine, however, there is a smell when i pop my hood or when my engine is running. I'm not sure if the smell is normal or not. Do you guys think it will be a problem with that missing bolt?

maybe it's just the smell of the new header getting broke in? i mean my friends exhaust smells like *** when he first got it, but then it went away after it goe broke in. that's my guess. the ceramic header just needs to get broke in. my .02

Its suposed to smell. During the bending of the metal, they use this coating on the header. When it gets hot, it burns off. The smell is ok.

the only thing i'm worry about is if it will leak. I think in the end i might have to drill out the old stud and get a new one from honda.

if it smells like plastic burning or something to that effect, its normal. if it smells like exhaust fumes, you probably have a leak somewhere or didn't tighten up the bolts correctly. i also had a wierd smell when i installed my catback, the new part is just breaking in.

oh ya forgot about that cuz they have to grease up the mandrels to get them back out of the pipe after its bent. give it a day that's about how long the catback took. actually not even that long it was gone by the time i got from rockwall to mesquite.

Everything sounds normal now. The smell is not exhaust fumes but something i can't descibe cuz i never smelled before. I'm gonna buy a new stud and see if i can drill that broken stud out.
