1998 Accord V6 completely dead?
At a total loss here. The alternator went out a couple of months ago so we replaced it, as it sat long enough to completely drain the battery we replaced that also with a brand new one instead of taking any chances. The car has been running fine the last 3 weeks or so.
Today I went to start it up and it started fine I then realized I forgot something so turned it off, and returned to the car in less than five minutes. When I went to start it the second time I turned the key and everything flashed, all interior lights, dash lights, headlights for a split second then went black and now no power at all. Turning the key has no click, no starter trying, nothing. Its like turning the key on a car that has no battery installed at all.
Any ideas would be helpful at this point because this is where I am right now >>>
Thank you!

Strange that all the lights came on.
Check basics first.
Verify battery is fully charged.
Verify battery cables are clean and tight.
Verify grounds for the battery, engine, wire harness and bonds are all clean and tight.
Verify all applicable fuses are not blown, check with a meter.
Verify the ignition switch is not worn/damaged.
Check the interior 'multiplex module' it is part of or next to the driver side fuse box. IIRC this unit controls just about everything in car. Also IIRC 98/99 are the same part.

Thank you each of you! I have to say I saw the problem immediately in the daylight, the battery cable connector ring was cracked.
BUT, horrible mother that I am I made my son and his buddy go through all of your suggestions one by one to eliminate the possibilities as they were all great and they learned a lot. Never even looked at the cable connection until I showed them after a few hours of frustration on their side. Fixed within minutes of seeing it as I had already bought the part.
I know, I'm a bad bad mother.
Thank you again
