24.5x8.5-13 mh vs 22x8-15 mt
so im currently running the 22s and ive had ok runs with them. i dont have traction bars or after market lower a arms all stock minus my full body coil overs. car is scaled 62.5/37.5 2465 with me and full tank full interior .but havnt done a pass with it yet without a trunk full of the daliy tires and tool box and jack and stuff in the car as ive had no one to go to the track with me to watch my self.( nearest tracks are a hour to hour and a half away) so my percetages are all out of wack. so to my questions ive cut low 1.8s with the 22's on tracks that are pretty much a no prep. i have the option to buy some 24.5x8.5-13 mh for a good deal and i didnt know if these would make my 60s better or if they would hurt me, car has been doing 105's -107's @ 13.1 i know my set up should be mid 12s as i have a new trans i dont have to double clutch to get into 3rd but yet i find my self still doing so as its became second nature and my tune is still on the fat side. car is turbo'd. i have a gsr trans and im going through the traps with some gear to spare (700rpm) right now on the 22s so thats one of my biggest worry is that the 24.5s will be to tall. car is on pump right now. but will be running corn very soon i just want the car in the mid to low 12s on pump first. so theres more power to be had and thats why i figured with the more power ill be making on e85 i would need alot more gear. sorry if this is a bit rattled on just trying to put all the info out there i can. lmk if i need to put out more info to help you guys help me decide.
Going to a bigger tire could help you or hurt you. Depends on your power really. Adding a bigger tire will add more stress to the drivetrain than the 22's would.
The 24.5 will help you with your 60' . Key to most things is how the car is setup.
