Well actually its my girlfriend. Heres the story.

She was driving her car (1997 Acura LS, 2-Door), to come pick me up after work. As she was changing lanes simultaniously another car (1995 Acura LS, 4-Door) was changing lanes as well. They didnt see each other and my girlfriends front right fender hits the other persons rear left passenger door. They both pull over and check out the damage. They exchange names and insurance info..

They both verbally agreed that their insurance would take care of it. (I dont know why they exchanged information though.)

Now heres my question.

Should my girlfriend report this incident to her insurance?

We dont want to report this to her insurance because she has already been into an accident before. So her rates have gone up. Also the damage isnt as bad as her deductable ($500). Then again they exchanged info, so if the other party contacts her insurance, and they find out that she got into an accident and she didnt report it she will still be in deep ****.

Any advice?
