Please help guys, this is driving me crazy.
Cliffs
-Read helms manual for 98-01 and can't find any wiring diagrams for the door switch for the hatch
-Can't hear any click from a relay or any electronic noise to let me know the rear hatch is working
-Can't hear any noise of the actuator firing when I press the hatch button indicating the signal is not even reaching the rear actuator
-Read the write up's for the actuator fix (plastic clip) Would this cause the key to not turn for the lock but turn for the hatch to open?
-Have replaced the actuator since my old one did not fire at all, new one fires but it was 2nd hand and I haven't inspected the clip yet
-Is it all over boyos? Is it time to lay down and rot?

Figured it out. It is the power lock control unit (which is weird since it doesn't have power windows yet has the box with the stamped letters on it saying power window control unit). Turns out mine failed. Bought some parts from someone today parting an integra out who still had the motor in the car with power to everything. It was a 2000 RS model with the hatch button as well. When I pressed the button I could hear the control unit fire. This is definitely my issue. I will report back once it is installed but i'm 99.9% sure this is the cause.

Ya it confused the hell out of me. I looked up the helms wiring diagrams and they were all for power windows. I searched the hell out of this forum and google and thought I was going crazy because I couldn't find any pictures with the "Hatch" button like on my RS. While I had the door apart on the parts car I figured i'd test the button to see if I could hear an electronic signal. Sure enough I could hear the click I expected but didn't hear in my video. Just more info for those wondering why their hatch actuator doesn't work
What luck you found a local part out with the trunk actuator also eh!?
So the car has no power locks but has power hatch actuator? That is odd of acura to do that.
Does your RS have its own relay for the actuator?
I just ordered an actuator and need to see what relay to use.

I didn't find the actuator in the part out, I actually found that prior to this thread/video. But even after installing a working actuator (as you can hear in the video) I still couldn't lock the hatch and my hatch button next to the door lock didn't have a electronic signal firing. The relay for my hatch button is oddly labelled "Power lock control unit" just like the rest of the integra's with power locks. Only on an RS it is actually for the power hatch button that is in place of the lock button that every other model has. This sounds confusing as hell I know, but for those with RS models it should make sense.
The RS model is the most basic model Acura made. b18b1 motor, no power locks, no abs, no cruise control, cloth interior. Every other model comes with power locks other than this model.

Ah, i did mean the actual switch.
It does sound pretty confusing on what was wrong.
So you just had a bad switch right.
Ok thanks for the info, ill keep looking for ahat relay to use, i dont want to run straight power to the actuator and fry it.
