Aftermarket steering wheel
I have a 96 civic hatch cx that I am currently installing an aftermarket steering wheel. I have installed everything including the horn however when I put the battery cables back on the horn blows constantly. But if I take the horn button out of the wheel and keep it plugged in I can use it like a normal horn it's when it's completely installed it stays on. What have I done wrong? Or not done right yet?

The circuit is completed by grounding. So the horn gets hot wire direct from the power grid and then the wire running to the horn switch on the wheel is to connect ground to the horn through the horn switch.
It sounds like your steering wheel setup has placed ground on the wrong side of the switch so the horn is permanently grounded with no switch to break the ground connection.
Did you buy a horn shoe or rig something up to make contact with the ring on the back of your aftermarket wheel?
