Help! Engine revs when clutch is pressed?
I drive a 98 Integra LS. When the car is rolling and I press the clutch no matter what gear I'm in it revs itself to 3-4k. If I put it in neutral and stop it very gradually comes back down. Of course I'd like to get this fixed because as funny as they are, I'm a little tired of the questioning looks I get when people think I'm revving everywhere.
That and or your throttle cable is too tight getting stuck or the throttle plate is closing to slow when you let off to push in the clutch and maybe its gunked up or something idk..
I appreciate the input but assuming user error makes you come off as an a-hole. I know how to drive. I'll investigate into the throttle first. I also already tried cleaning out my IACV.

Do we know you or your ability to drive? You ask about an issue that isn't all too common. It's hard to imagine an engine continuing to rev up to 3-4k with the clutch disengaged. The only way I can see that happening is shifting gears without letting off the gas pedal. Does the same issue occur when trying to go into reverse? Or was that an ******* move again on my part?
You don't, I was just saying it shouldn't be assumed. No harm done. I haven't noticed it in reverse. Could this also be related to some error with the throttle position sensor? I'd like to compile a little list to start testing on.

TPS wont cause the throttle to stick open when it fails. You'll experience hesitation upon acceleration, rough idle, and engine stalling when the TPS isn't working correctly. You can test it if you like since you should inspect your throttle body and linkage for issues.
It's only when you press your clutch? Not just when you just let your foot off the gas? Assuming you're the average driver, you don't rev your car for fun.

Does it do it in neutral? Your foot is completely off the gas pedal when you're pushing in the clutch?
Any check engine lights? Does the car idle normally?

Sorry it took me so long to get back. This turned out to actually be a combination of a few things. The throttle was a little too tight, had begun to stick, and my cruise control was also stuck as well. I used white lithium grease, adjusted it, and unplugged the cruise control actuator and things are going well so far. I really appreciate all the help you guys gave.
