1994 Accord F22 Swap
Hello I'm new here
I've been searching and searching and haven't found an exact answer for my issue
I have a 94 accord ex f22 vtec with auto trans that i totaled, trans nor the engine got damage so i have this car as a donor
I bought a 94 accord lx f22 non vtec with manual 5 speed trans, this car has a blown head gasket and some other engine problems so i rather just swap engines
Im wanna swap the engine
what wiring has to be changed? i saw that everything is pretty much the same
i have everything from the donor EX to swap to the LX
but I'm having some issues cuz I've read that the LX aren't wired with the VTEC in the harness which means i have to pull the harness from the EX to the LX?
or can the same harness work? and all i have to do is wire the VTEC also i saw some wire the were hooked up to some sort of vacuum thingy against the firewall and one by the air filter. I'm not sure what these are.

If you're going to downgrade from the ex to the lx then you don't need to change any wiring. It would only need to be changed(upgraded) if you upgraded to vtec.
If you're up for the work you can go from auto to manual at the same time but if it were me I would swap in a jdm H22a instead. Then you just need to add iab's and knock sensor wiring and a tcu for another auto trans if you choose to stay auto.

Instead of copy and pasting your old thread, you could have just continued on with the discussion in your old thread.

Like I said in your other thread, if you are swapping a VTEC engine into a non VTEC chassis basically all you need is the engine harness and the ECU to go with the engine and trans combination.
Point of interest, auto and manual ECU/TCU,s use different fuel and ignition maps. So even if one will run the other, it will not be the best for performance or fuel economy.
