How to check blower motor for problems?
Hello there,
I have a 2000 Honda Accord Se which the blower only works on high speed. I replaced the blower motor resistor and it started working but failed within 5 minutes. I am hesitant to buy another resistor until I know why it blew so fast. My understanding is the blower motor may be drawing too much amperage and burning out the resistor. I am interested in an actual way to check this, for instance, what current/voltage/resistance readings should I be looking for.

It's not likely the new resistor burned out. It's more likely the blower motor is just bad. While it's usually the resistor that goes bad and the blower motor will just usually just stop working it's not totally uncommon for the blower motor to work intermittently.
Both parts may have originally been bad and you need to replace both.
