how can i tell if my distributor cap and rotor is going bad?

anyone? my car stumbles upon accelleration a little and someone said it could be that.. ???

could be a lot of things. you need to do some more diagnosing.

take off the dist cap ... if there is a lot of white "ash" looking **** in there it could be going bad... also look at the "contacts" on the cap and the rotor id the look worn that could be it... but that may not ever be anything remotely close to your problem!
