Steering rack where to purchase?
Does anybody here know where can I purchase a Steering rack for the 1991 CRX Si besides ebay?
It has a b16a engine swap.
Can I use the ek steering rack?
Thanks.

theres only the rack end bushing and tie rods that is possibly "rebuildable" on a manual steering rack. paying for a new one when its just worn out is just wasting money.
that being said, just rebuild a junkyard one if you really need a replacement.

wrong.
the STD/DX/HF (all same) rack has 18.6:1 ratio. the variable Si rack has 19.8 average (18-20.4 variable):1. not much of a difference anyway.
turn lock to lock is listed 3.8 DX and 4.1 Si.
also the power rack ratio is 17.7:1 with 3.65 lock to lock. this is the "fastest" from stock, if you really wanted it. you also need a different crossmember, that i think is heavier, even if you didnt use power fluid.
quaife is the only option for a faster aftermarket steering rack. it only works with the STD/DX/HF rack, the Si pinion length is incompatible with quaife.
^^^ always dropping the good info. I have been looking into rebuilding mine with the quaife ever have any first hand experience driving one to know if it's worth the time/ money for a autocross/ road course car?
Anybody here knows the part numbers for the rack and pinion parts and the complete rack and pinion as well?
Can I convert the non power steering into power steering?
What parts do I need?
Thanks.
