Cut into lower front control arm when removing bushings!
Hi,
I removed the old OEM bushings front lower control arms. I tried not to but I cut into the wishbone while cutting through the bushing sleeve. I cleaned and sanded down the surface to help smooth it out.
My question is if I insert polyurethane bushings will the cut/marks on the wishbone cause the bushing to tear and eventually destroy it? Some of the other marks were made by chisel.
OR
If I decide to use OEM style bushings (Hardrace) will the cut/marks between the wishbone and the outer sleeve make any difference? (Would it let moisture/water/dirt to get in between?
See photos below.

You'll be just fine.
I cut into my LCA's aswell, and i have no issues at all. I am among many who have done the same while putting bushings in.
Chalk it up to **** happens and move on.

one of the pictures if I'm looking at it correctly, shows a rust hole in the side of that LCA! Forget if the bushing will wear, I'd worry more about it cracking in half from the rust hole! lol.. time for some new LCA's!
