the law says something about it being LEGAL as long as the engine is of the same year or newer... of course you will need all papers, etc. and then get it to a smog ref to certify it. try http://www.sema.org for exact info.

umm.. as far as passing smog.. depends, are you trying to say you didnt pass smog... and you want to put aftermarket parts from spoon on your car to try to pass??? i wouldnt think that would be very wise... also if you have internals i think your ok? if they do a visual inspection under your hood.. you mite have some trouble

It should, as long as all the proper emissions equipment is still used. The description just says that the motor is balanced and blueprinted, which will have no effect on emissions.

Correct. I don't know how clean a Spoon motor runs on the smog dyno, but the motor has to have all of the smog equipment installed and working, the motor has to be the same year as the car or newer, and if you have any aftermarket parts installed, they have to be carb legal. I registered a GSR motor in my hatch with ITR pistons, carb legal intake, and DC header, and had no problems. As a matter of fact, I just got pulled over this am for having a "modified car???" (he didn't give me a reason why he pulled me over) said to pop the hood, which I did, and when I showed the cop my Referree sticker, he said "have a good day, thanks for cooperating."

visual should be no problem, smog, again no problem. no need to touch the motor, just drop it in. and find an armenian to do you smog check...
