Default Engine swap

My d16y8 threw a rod so I got a d15b non vtec and now I'm wondering if I can put the head of the y8 on the d15 block to make it vtec. Can this be done & will there be any issues?

Now THIS is the way to tell people how to visit the FAQ and sticky's. Also, advanced search using quotes around keywords helps tremendously.
