Use Hasport mounts and hood clearance will not be a problem. You'll have header clearance problem with any b-series swap. Lowering and using a 4-1 header will just make things worse.

Im using H&R Race springs with a b16 engine. I ruined a 4-1 header the first 15 minutes I had it. Now Im using a DC 4-2-1 and it scrapes once in a while, but not bad. Basically, if I were you, I'd stay away from a 4-1 header and you'll be alright.

i've got the hasport mounts and i still had to cut the frame rails out of the hood because they were sitting on the valve cover and scuffing it up.

with a LS/VTEC, if it is dropped pretty good, you will destroy the header. I would seriously think about raising it back up, also hood clearance is not an issue if you use the HASport Motor Mounts

the new hasport billet mounts put the engine a little bit more forward so the axles line up better, causing a bit more of a hood clearance problem, we usualy cut out the crossmembers in the viscinity of the cam gears.

If hood clearance is the problem then get a SiR style hood. More clearance and it looks tight.

I have a b16 with a 4-1 header. Plus the car is dropped on Ground Control's. The speed bumps at the college are murder. When I was under my car last I had I huge dent in the header. I REALLY need to get that DC Sports 4-2-1 header.
