Converting an EK4 (B16A2) back to a D16 swap Help !
Hey Whats up guys,
Just had a few questions regarding swapping an obd-2 d-series back into my EK4 that originally had a b16a2. Just would like to know the things i would need in order to complete the swap successfully. I understand i need the engine, transmission, wiring harness, axles, ecu, and shift linkage. However, I counted my b-series axle splines and there 26 teeth, also would i be able to use my b-series shift linkage or would i need to get a shift linkage from a civic ? if so, would a civic sedan linkage work ? any info would be greatly appreciated.
-Thank you.

Since the mods seem to prefer it this way...
B series axles are different then D series axles. Google the terms and look at the images. Not even close.
Same with B and D series shift linkages. D series shift liankges are for D series transmissions.
If you have a concern or question about what part fits what look at an online Honda parts store and compare part numbers.
Examples include Honda Parts OEM 30% Off | No Tax!! Outside California | Honda Dealer Parts or Majestic Honda - The Internet's #1 Honda Automotive Parts Store
There is also a FAQ sticky at the top of this forum, in a dark gray color, that will link to many resources with respect to engine swapping.

You should look up guides on how to swap a b-series into an EK, the requirements. From there it should give you an idea of what you can't reuse. Dat symple

I know he's reverting back to D, If you look at any guide that tells you how to swap a B it usually list the parts needed. From there you would get an idea of whats not going to be re-used from a D. Reverse that and you have your answer.
