2001 Honda accord with h22a4 swap.
So I recently bought an accord with an h22a4 engine (don't know what year engine) and was thinking of doing a full exhaust upgrade. My question is... Will the h22 headers bolt on to an accord exhaust? Or will a full h22 5th gen prelude exhaust system fit on the accord? All I know is that I have to get h22 headers. Also recommendation for what brand will be nice. Looking to keep a nice low growl

My Accord came with a 2-1/2" OD exhaust and a blown-out OBX muffler. After I bought a Hobart, a bottle of argon, and learned the hard way I'd forgotten what I learned in my welding class, had a muffler shop splice in a cheap Oreilly's glasspack right after the catalytic converter and put on a new OBX twin-loop.
If I floor it between 3000-6000 rpm I turn into Brock after seeing officer Jenny. Yes, i just made that reference, get over it.
If your power goals are modest, as in you're not going to touch the internals of the engine or the intake manifold, a 2-1/4" exhaust made for your car will work. Do not buy OBX. My muffler buzzes (cannot hear it inside the car) and its starting to blow out(that I can hear, painfully at that). The twin loop mufflers sound like sex, grab a used JDM OEM unit off eBay. I'm not sure where a H22 header will end-up under the body of a 6th gen Accord. It's nothing a half hour with a welder and a stainles steel flex-joint can't fix though.
But the intake a big part of that sound too. BPI velocity stack and a AEM dryflow to fit over it. Use that el-cheapo $25 3" prelude intake kit off eBay for the pipe.
PLM header off of eBay. Spend $450, get the tri-Y.

If you have access to some fabricating tools, ie.a grinder and a welding machine, You can make the Prelude exhaust to fit your accord. Probably have to change a couple hangers and shorten/lengthen some sections.
Probably be better of to save up and get a kit from KTeller.
Mandrel Exhaust Piping Kits - KTeller
Talk to the boys down there. They know their shyte!
Here is the setup I bought.

You can mix and match Cats, mufflers and resonators, stainless or aluminized and comes in both 2.5" or 3" diameters.
