pte 6262 turbo? good for b18c forged pistons and rods?
Ok guys I've looked for a compressor map for precision pte 6262 ball bearing turbo .82 A/r 4 bolt 3in inlet and 2in outlet compressor. My questions is this a suitable turbo for my b18c Manley h beam.rods cp.pistons 9:1 cr. Anyone use this on gsr stock or built. What are the spool characteristics? When I can expect boost. Motor is unsleeved first build. This is gonna be a street car so I wanna know if this is a good turbo for the street. My heads been completely been rebuilt.supertech and a little port work
I can get this turbo for great deal 600 it's been rebuilt. Please let me know. I've compared a few turbos including 50trim (50trim t0d4e) which seems to be the most efficient 57 trim 54trim. Just need some guidance I appreciate anyone's help.

Two words. Disco. Potato.
GTX2860R. Alternatively, an 18G might get you right around the bottom of your goals, or a 20G will give you a little more room to grow.

How exactly is that?
Actually, you know what turbo is really for you?
Bw369 man, the compressor is so big that when you hit boost it will feel like nitro boost all the way down the culdesac

The PTE 6262 BB turbo is way too big for only 300-350 WHP. Sure, it can make that power, but it won't be effective. That turbo is better if you're aiming for a minimum of 500 WHP. I'd go with a much smaller turbo, but with a little more room to grow, like the tried-and-true Garrett T3/T04E 57 trim, or 60 trim turbos. I'm using the 60 trim on a B16 and love it.

I had the same goal with my '94 Civic VX. Turbo choice I went with was a Garrett T3/T04E Stage 3 60 Trim. Spools up much better than what I had anticipated. Here's a quick break-down:
- B16A2 81.5mm stock sleeves
- SRP 9:1 Pistons with H-beam rods
- '98 US-Spec ITR cams
- Super-tech dual valve springs with Brian Crower steel retainers
- Spoolin' Performance ramhorn manifold & 3" down pipe to a full 3" exhaust
- Edelbrock Performer-X intake manifold with stock OEM throttle body
- 1000cc Delphi injectors
- TiAL 38mm WG and GReddy FV BOV
Tuned on 15-15.5 PSI with 91 octane pump fuel. 342 WHP and 333 FT-LBS of torque (torque dropped down to 264 FT-LBS highest throughout the power band). Love this set-up, it's quick spool, and power for street driving.

PTE6262 is way too big for your power goals. Thats a 650whp capable turbo and you want to use it for half of that.
Here's the same thing i've suggested to every other person with your power goal: Hunter Turbocharger

Thanks schister66 and Dckid. I'll be using stock gsr cams. Similar set up to Dckid. How long has that b16a2 setup lasted Dckid? Also seems to me The T04e 50 trim is the most efficient. Hard call to.make 50 trim or the T04e 57trim remember this is a street car so keep that in mind.
It was tuned just 5 days ago. This is a street car also. If I want more power, I'd just go drive my Integra with a T3/T67 turbo, Lol.
I'm still here wondering how the gt28 isn't for you...spools better than any alternative really and will meet your power goals

Nope. 91 octane from Chevron, 17 dropping to 15psi. Turbo ran out of breath. I can't remember if it made a peak of 480 or 470 but he lost like 10hp for safety. I'll look for the dyno.
That's really hard to believe. Those numbers match up to what a T3/60-1 turbo would produce, not a T3/T04E 57 trim.
Hell, I think it's bullshit even on a 60-1, especially with 91 octane and a '300hp tiny intercooler'
Not just hard to believe, it's impossible. The turbo on flows 48lbs/min, and I've maybe, MAYBE only seen one build that maxed one out. It would need to flow closer to 560 for it to even be possible to get that whp.

Ok guys I'm looking at a gt30r which is comparable to the 50 trim to4e. Gt30r is rate at 525hp where as the 50 is rated at 490hp. They both are in the 78% from boost levels 8 psi to 18psi. Which once I plot both compressor maps. 50 trim is available in ball bearing. Leaning more towards the gt30r just because it could support my next build. Any thoughts on the gt30r anyone.
