So I over payed for this car 2,000 plus gave up my eg hatch clean car for a midori green ek with an ls vtec b18b1 b16 head gsr trans but it won't pass inspection and when I go to Oriely to get the codes checked it says data link failure so I need to get it fixed ASAP please

 

Check your ECU and post the label. Bet you have an OBD1 ECU.

 

With that mishmash of parts, almost guaranteed.

 

It probably will never pass emissions.

 

Check to make sure its not obd1 as stated above, if it's obd2 check your obd K line wire that comes from the ecu into the underdash harness that is the one that communicates with the obd2 scanner port from ecu. And if all else fails just pay for an inspection.

 

First you need to see what ecu you have. I have a swap in my car and it had the wrong ecu in it before I ordered the year ecu that matched the motor and it fixedalot of problems. You still need to be aware of any sensors and harness' that the motor needs specifically. I had to add a second o2 sensor port and add a whole custom exhaust to get my codes cleared and I'm still battling one last code. Good luck!

 

I'm pretty sure they should've told you why it won't pass inspection.
