P2W clearance for 81,5mm YCP b16 build
Hi everyone, don't know if this is the proper section..
I'm building an all motor b16a2 w/ 81,5 YCP ek9 pistons with hastings rings and complete ek9 valvetrain.
I just bought those pistons and sent everything to the machine shop that actually is waiting me because I can't find out which piston-to-wall clearance and piston rings gap use.
Tryed to email the seller but I didn' get an answer yet, probably he doesn't know either..
I was wondering if somebody here can help me out. Thanks a lot

i would probably go with the loose end of type r specs, somewhere between max spec and service limit if its really going to be a performance motor and not so much a factory rebuild.
about .0015-.002 inches piston to wall, around .016 inches top ring, and something around .019-.020 second ring. rod bearings should be between .0015 and .002. dont go tighter than .0015. mains can be in the same ballpark maybe a tiny bit tighter. sorry i dont know the metric conversions off the top of my head.
