92-95 Transmission Help - Final Drive - Mista Bone
I've got a classic mini cooper that I have swapped in a d-series SOHC ZC motor. From tach and speedometer and using the Zeal calculator, it looks like I have a P20/B000 92-95 Civic EX tranny with the 4.25 final drive (hydraulic). Since I am running 175/50/13 tires, I'd really like to get highway RPMs down and was thinking a 3.722 Final could be nice. First question, will the 3.722 out of the 96-2000 Civic DX/LX/CX hatch fit? I figured Mista Bone might know this one.
Second question, does anyone have one to sell? From what I understand, I need the final drive and countershaft?
Third, what do I do to get it in?
I've done a ton of searching before posting, but couldn't find my exact answers. If you guys see a post elsewhere with the answers, a link would be great.
Thanks a ton!

Yes the 96-00 Civic HX or DX hatch 3.72 FD will fit the 92-95 Civic Ex trans. You will need to fully disassemble the trans to swap it over so you may as well freshen it up with new bearings and seals while you are at it.
Yes, it is a direct swap. I suggest using the Helms manual if you are going to DIY or have a professional transmission builder take care of it for you.
