OBD1 ZC distributor wiring
Hello, I'm in the process of wiring up my obd1 zc dizzy and haven't found any good wiring write ups or diagrams for the zc. I've kinda put together what I could find from other similar models. the obd0 zc wiring has been hard to find. Can anyone correct me if this is wrong anywhere? .. or everywhere lol
I'm keeping the stock obd0 plugs on both ends.
OBD0-----------OBD1-----------Function
(5 pin connector)
Peach---------- Blue------------Crank position
Small white------Blue/Yel--------Crank position ground
Peach/blue------Orange/blue-----TDC output
White/blue-------White/blue------TDC ground
Thick white------Yel/green-------IGN input
(2 pin connector)
Blue------------Blue------------Speed output
Black/yellow----Black/white-----IGN input
Then I cut the two wires off the Cam angle sensor since it's no longer used and spliced it straight to the last two wires left on the dizzy
Blue/Green ----Orange----------CYP output
Blue/Yel--------White------------CYP ground

I don't think that can work. The sensors work slightly differently between OBD1 and pre-OBD.
EDIT: Please confirm what ECU you're using.

From what I gathered they should all be good since the sensors are all in the obd1 dizzy now. I'm running hondata s300.
I'm still not running yet, no fuel. My ign switch part of the main relay isn't getting any voltage and thus no fuel pump. It all worked perfect with obd0 set up so wiring is all good. The ecu should be good, brand new obd0-obd1 jumper harness. I'm just wondering the dizzy wiring could have anything to do with it since that's the only thing I wired myself. Other than injectors, but I wouldn't imagine that would play a part

There is also msd 6 ignition wired in, that I just have the ORA to (+) coil and BLK to (-) coil RED to old (+) wire and WHI to old (-) wire. I believe that's correct from what I've read.
I hooked my old ecu up and left everything else in place and the fuel pump kicked on, so it seems like it's got to be the ecu itself or the jumper harness

Yep you are right, the wiring charts that I found saying the colors were what I have listed at top were way off.
I just matched all colors except the blue/green and yellow/green from cam sensor now run to the blue/green and blue/yellow on the obd1 dizzy. That and the large white goes to the yellow/green.
