Default 4 Codes-P0117, P0113, P0700, and P1758

Hi All....newbie here.

98 Civic coolant fan went out. My brother and I replaced the fan, still did not work. We replaced the entire radiator, thermostat, coolant temp sensor, radiator cooling fan switch, and fluid. Hooray, the fan comes on now.

The new problem: after doing all of this, I have the check engine light on. Took it to auto zone, and it is pulling the above codes. The car is now having a hard time starting (cold start runs at around 300rpm idle, and when I push the gas pedal it dies).

Any thoughts or ideas on this? Where did we go wrong?

Reset ECU to see if any of the codes return.

I did that, by pulling the 7.5 fuse....also tried pulling the negative battery cable and let it sit for 10 mins.....still the same.

You likely removed the IAT and ECT sensor connectors and forgot to reconnect them. Same for the lock up control solenoid on your auto transmission.

I will double check that when I get home...I checked all connectors last night, but I may have missed it.

Ok...hubby just checked for me. He said the all seem plugged in tight. He also said he put his hand over the open end of the air intake, it formed a suction, then ran fine. It did this last night too, so once it gets back to a cold start, the problem shows its face again. The codes never go away...even when it starts running ok.

Use wire colors to determine whether the sensor connectors are swapped.

Post pictures of what you think are the IAT, ECT, and A/T solenoid B connectors.

Make sure the ECT sensor connector is fully seated in pic #2 and #3.

P0117 is for the ECT sensor circuit.

Verify wire colors in the ECT sensor connector under distributor.

All wires matched. So, this is what I tried: took the new ECT sensor off, put the old one back on...it worked. Running like my little kitten, and no codes. Funny how one little faulty sensor (even though it was brand new) can cause so many problems.

Thank you for your help today, so simple even this girl right here did it
