Hello ITR ppl,

Its been a long time since ive been lurking around on these boards. My 01 #769 was stolen back in 07 never recovered. Since so much time has past i dug up some old photos i never showed on HT. This car was so much fun!! Its shame so many have gone down the same way. I still enjoy thinking about the fun i had in the community of R enthusiasts, and from time to time think about another.....Hope all the owners out there can enjoy this machine without much worry.

 

She was a hottie... Sorry to see you lost it.

Sorry about your car man. I know the feeling too well. Thanks for sharing the pictures, it's good that you can reminisce without getting down and out. You'll have to post more when you buy your next one!

Thanks for the compliments all. Yeah its bitter sweet looking at these pictures for sure. But i learned to live with it. Thieves will, if not already get theirs.
I have 2012 WRX hatch now and its perfect for my Family. Type R will have to come under the right circumstances. When i do get one i will post up for sure.

 

The old days. Harriman State Park, and looks like an old meet at Coney Island? Pretty sure I was at that CI meet as well. First time riding the Cyclone.

Its pretty amazing you STILL cant leave these cars around without them getting taken.

 

Yes sir that was HSP and CI meet. We went to the old airport runway FBF to take pics there too. I take it you still have your typeR? Im not surprised that they still get stolen.
I live in Dallas TX now. If i get another and they come for mine i will legally shoot those motherfrs.. I love New york but its so liberal i can prob go to jail for protecting my own property.

Im surprised nobody has turned the tables on the thieves of these cars. Set those fools up haha that would be fun to watch on candid video. Whats this Jonny a fresh r in a abandon parking lot? Then every R owner that had their car stolen wets them up. puts it up on boards titled thief beware!

Does anyone have any vindicated stories? I would love to hear.

Yep, I think one of those PYs is mine. I was the guy with the blue foam shocker hand. I remember the abandoned run way and CI. I forget what year that was, but seems like so long ago. I sold the PY several years ago, and was in an Audi S4 Avant for a while, but now Im back in a 98 R.

I have thought many many times about using my caR as bait and even tried to enlist a few cop buddies for help. But my impression is that law enforcement has far too many other jobs and priorities to care about a nearly 20 year old car and the petty thieves that jack them on a regular basis.

Ive been out of the honda aftermarket for awhile, but i assume your talking about the mugen cap....

I was curious to know about what market is paying for genuine ITR parts now. Is USDM still tossed asside for jdm parts or has that tide turned? thanks
