Default YS1 LSD trans price

Hi folks,

I've been feverishly looking for a YS1 LSD trans and it looks like I found one, but it won't be cheap. It's being sold through an importer, not a private sale.

Can anyone give their input on what a "reasonable" price is for this trans? Prices in USD to keep it simple.

Any LSD trans would be probably $800 plus, the one I'm looking at is $800 CAD and it has no tags, not sure exactly what it is. I've been looking for LSD trans recently online and thru importers and best I've seen otherwise is around $1000 USD, in fact most places won't sell an LSD trans without the gsr engine for $5000

Other much more experienced members can probably give you a more accurate answer but in my recent research looking for an LSD trans this is what I've seen.

I can't answer your question, but I would just have a transmission built with an MFactory LSD. The OEM viscous LSD is pretty worthless.

Turns out the importer didn't know their own stock. They pulled the rug out this morning. Lame.

I thought the YS1 unit was a gear-type LSD?

No. B series, only the ITR and CTR have helical LSD's.

Ahhh well okay then. Never the less, I still need a cable 4.4 trans. I suppose I'll keep my eye out for a non-lsd trans and just invest in an aftermarket unit later.
