Default can a hydraulic clutch be adjusted?

I just acquired a 2001 accord with a standard transmission. The clutch does not engage until the pedal is almost all the way out. Can this be adjusted or do I need to replace the clutch?

The pushrod on the MC can be adjusted for pedal free play(engagement),and the hydraulic portion of the system self adjusts for clutch wear.

Usually you do not need to adjust the push rod,but it is an option.

Thanks, How is the push rod adjusted and how much adjustment can I expect to get? It does not clunk or anything going into gear but I think it needs to engage before the top of the pedal.

You can loosed the lock nut then turn the push rod. Again adjusting the clutch pedal is usually not needed.

Thanks, It may be ok. I was moving the car back and forth yesterday and it felt alright. Where the car is in my yard right now I only have about 10' to move it back and forth. Tomorrow I am getting a radiator for it and if I can get the air out of the power steering I am going to take it around the block. I will be able to tell more then.

For what it's worth, I had the same concern with my 93 (high pedal) even after a new clutch was installed. I never had a problem with it until I ran the car into a concrete wall but can't really blame the clutch for that one.
