I have a 2005 honda accord lx i took my car in to do the airbag recall and when i needed to use my defrost this winter 2015 i noticed the air wasnt working in the defrost mode i asked the dealer what happened they said i needed to get that fixed and i told them it was working prior to them doing what they did i cant prove it anyways they quoted mt 250.00 for the part i wasnt sure what the part was i was so frustrated at this point that this even happened does anyone at least know what part i need to fix the problem the air control works fine on all settings but the defrost and the floor from what i can see please advise

 

Just so I'm clear on the issue.

When you direct the HVAC unit to blow air to the windshield - you are not getting air flow though the vents to the windshield.....no matter if you want heat or cold to blow there?

Next does this car have dual or single temp controls? Then since the 2 and 4 door versions have slightly different wiring, how many doors does the car have?
