Function 7 rear subframe brace - installation question

Default Function 7 rear subframe brace - installation question

1999 real EM1. Just purchased and went to install it. Since my has the factory reinforcements, am I supposed to cut those out and use 2 that came with the brace?

It may have, but I got it, pulled it out of the box to look at it, and then I think the GF threw the box away. I have looked online for instructions.

Your car DOES NOT have a factory reinforced subframe.

You don't need cut anything to install a brace.

I was going to ask OP what the heck he was talking about with cutting part of the rear subframe, nothing like that is EVER needed.

My guess is he's talking about the piece in the subframe that's threaded for the sway bar hardware.

That is what I was talking about. Mine has 2 holes pre-cut and reinforced from the factory that lines up with the brace. Little aluminum brackets that would go there. What to do?

Get the install instructions.
