crx si sunroof issues
Hey, my 90 crx's sunroof doesn't fully work. It tilts up to first level but has never slid back until last week. It was raining real hard and my interior got really wet, I don't know if it was coincidence or not but the sunroof started working. It would usually slide all the way back first time, but sometimes i would need to hold it for awhile before it opened. Once I drove away from the coast and the rain it stopped working again. Just tilts up and closes normal every time.
Any ideas if it is the switch, or relay, or bad leads on the motor? I did take apart the switch and clean the leads, no difference. If the switch was bad do you think it would even tilt upward?

Ok I'll look into that. Do you know if the motor should make noise or anything if that's my issue? It makes noise when the sunroof tilts up, but then it's dead silent if i click it again or hold it down. The motor is for sure not even moving past the tilt point
Thanks acmoc, that does sound like my issue. Is that stopper hard to get to? I'll pull up a schematic of the sunroof and look for it, but your advice will probably be more helpful.
And Thanks Tyson, I already tried that, no luck. I figure if that maybe it wouldn't even tilt if the switch wasn't working.

It's held on by a 8 mm nut at the end of the rail. towards the rear of the sunroof.
I remember buying mine at the dealer. But it was hard to find the part number.
I'll see if I can locate it.
There are two in front as well that catch the sunroof when closing.
Here you go, all the info you need is here
