Default Aftermarket Fog Light Switch Issues

Car Info:
97 Civic Coupe DX

I had bought the SpecD OEM Fog Lights, and after the installation the fog light switch is malfunctioning

When I push the switch to turn the fog lights on they come on but when I click the switch again they won't turn off until I turn the vehicle off (I have the switch powered to the accessories) also sometimes when the switch is in the off position the lights will still come on when the accessories come on does anyone have any ideas of why this is happening?

I use to have the same fog lights and wired them the same way with no issues like this but the last switch harness that was given had a black ground wire instead of blue like the one I have now not sure if that would be the cause or not.

Cheap Taiwanese **** didn't work out of the box? Color me surprised. Also, why are you not properly wiring them in with the headlights?

Wire them properly, behind the headlight relays. They should only be able to turn on when the headlights are on. They should not be able to be on with the headlights off.

I normally like to power it off from the parking light. Switch and fog only get power if parking light are turn ON.

Did you follow the installation instructions that came with the lights?

The original instructions wanted me to power the switch through my ignition and I don't wish to do that, so I just powered them through my accessories fuse opening, I use to have the same fog lights and hooked them up the same way but it doesn't wanna work right this time

Tapping the wire to my ignition will give it the same result, it still gives power to the switch when the ignition is activated

Default Wiring Fog Light Switch To Headlight Switch?

Car Info: 1997 Civic DX Coupe D16y7

Does anyone know how to wire a aftermarket fog light switch to the headlight switch? Basically what I'm trying to do is when I turn the headlights on it will then power the switch for the fog lights, but if the headlights are of the switch can't be used (No power)

Why do you need two threads for the same thing?

I prefer fog lights seperate from bead lights. Allows a sort of running light type of deal
