92 accord crank but no start
Dear readers,
I have a 92 accord with 400,000 miles on it had for a year now never had any problems with it starting. One day I drove it to work and after about ten hours I get off, jump in the car to go home, start it up, drive 100 ft and it shuts off. The car hasn't started since. I have changed the main relay no change. Keep in mind this was dead summer midafternoon in South Carolina. I have checked the spark, good blue spark but looks weak. Fuel pressure sprays nice and strong. Very strong gas smell at tailpipe after spinning it over for a spell. Sounds like good compression but have not checked it with a guage yet. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have good fuel and good spark it should at least start and run. Any misfiring or starting then stalling? I assume the engine is turning over well. if the engine was seized it wouldn't turn over and if it was just bad compression it would be weak or smoking most likely, it would still start unless the plugs were fowled out, i'm sure you checked for oil on the plugs.
My thought would be spark. What engine does it have? F22A? My coil was bad in my f22b and it still had spark but it was weak and wouldn't fire. I have also seen the same issue with the igniter, it will have spark but too weak to ignite and start.

The engine is spinning over great and no misfiring this was the first time it has happened. I have an f22A6 and as for the spark I'm leaning more toward that too. I said it has a blue spark and it does but you can barely see it even at night in pitch black. Plugs are good and clean, old but clean and I know they need changing.
You may want to hit the Junk Yard and pick up an Igniter and Coil and try that out. Those are not too hard to find. The hitachi is much harder to find than the tec. You could always buy a new igniter for 50-60$ but it would be cheaper to pull a spare set from the junk yard.
Did you inspect the Cap and rotor? Sometimes the little nub inside gets burnt and its no longer making good contact.
