Hey guys I've searched with no luck. I can't find a direct fit cat that is 2.5" only universal. I don't want to have a 1 piece exhaust from the header to the tip of the exhaust. Do they make flanges both 2 bolt and 3 bolt that I can weld do make a direct fit 2.5" cat? Thanks in advance. Also car is a 98 Civic EX coupe. Exhaust is going to be stainless steel.

 

Have a mufflershop weld in the converter, and either bring your own sourced flanges or they might have some, to make your cat a 'bolt-in'.

 

Every shop i called they have to order there own cat. I can't bring my own. they charge like 300 for a cat. redicoulus.

 

What state do you live in?

Also, 300 for parts+labor is not actually a bad price.

 

I live in washington. I'm on a tight budget and found a universal for 80. Worst case I can have a buddy weld it in. Thanks man.

 

If you have a buddy that can weld, it's always the better solution at least it'll be the cheaper solution!

 

Ya I'll bring him doughnuts and coffee and 20$ I'm sure he won't have a problem with doing it. He may not even want the money just the doughnuts lol

Will this flange work with this cat to make it direct fit? The flange is 2.5" in and out diameter and the cat is 2.5" I'm also concerned about being able to weld the two. The flange is aluminum steel and the cat is stainless. Sorry if I'm being a noob lol just want to be sure on this before I purchase anything. Thanks.

Just get a test cat off ebay, cut off the fake cat and weld in a real one. I used a magniflow.
