Default Transmission

I recently got back my type R transmission(b16 b) from the speed shop. I had some pro series synchrotech carbon sleeves ans synchros installed. I doppped it in. I first neutralized it without starting up. I tried to put it in gear and it didnt go in. I finally got it to go in 1st and 2nd gear. It wouldnt go into any of the other gears. I changed out the master cylinder and slave cylinder twice. I spoke to a guy from where I bought the synchrotech kit and he told me that 1st and 2nd are together on the fork just like 3rd-4th and 5th-reveres. He said the guys at the speed shop messed up. So I started her up and while in neutral she took off like she was in gear. The problem is definitly internally. I mean I told the guy who did the work about it and he said bring it back. So any advice on this situation?

Take it back to the repair shop, or ask for a refund and have someone else fix it. sound like some mix matched gears or mis-aligned synchro hubs.

Unless you know how to rebuild transmissions I would start with taking it to the shop that put it together.

If the transmission does not cycle correctly, you either have a severely screwed up shift linkage, or the shift change piece in the transmission is jammed up or not installed correctly. If this unit worked in the vehicle prior to the rebuild, the transmission needs to come back out, and torn down to find the cause.

The transmission worked just fine before I took it to the shop. I finally got it off and dropped it to the guy at the shop. Im thinking its definitely some miss aligned synchro hubs @ rudebwoy and @ slowcivic2k my shift linkage is good. It was good befor I took it off and I also checked out the shift fork where the throw out bearing sits on. Its all good. I even installed a new throw out bearing. So its definitely internally with the synchros. Thank you everyone for the help and advise. Ill keep you guys posted on whats goin on. Again thank you.

@ 1HGEJ2 I will definitely try driving to 30mph and then shift in to other gears. But I spoke to the guy at the speed shop and it turns out that one of the shift forks got bent. He said it happened when putting back the whole thing together so that was my problem right there! I should be getting it back real soon and then once I put it back in then I can test it out and let you guys know the out come. Thank you everyone for your concerns and help. I really appreciate it!
