car doesn't start when cold?
so I have a 1998 Integra. when I got off work today like 20 minutes ago, my car didn't want to start. as in I would have to hold the key and the fuel pump was priming but the starter wasn't kicking in. so I decided to push start it and it started. I let it warm up all the way to operating temp and turned it off and tried to turn it on and it had like a 2 second delay then the starter kicked in and started her right up. then I tried again. this has happened before but I'd just have to hold the key like 10 seconds and it would kick on. but this time with it being very cold out it didn't start at all. is it my starter solenoid or the starter? or something else?
Yea prolly the starter if it takes a few sec to kick in, look at the ground conection on the thermostat and clean it so theres a good contact. Also what can happen is the starter plug gets loose, its the single metal tab that pushes in the starter its gets loose sometimes so pull back the rubber boot covering it and make sure its pluged in good. Or it could be your starter is dying which is common.

It SOUNDS like your starter is going bad. However, I ended up replacing my BATTERY when I thought my starter was bad. Second time I thought it was bad, I took out the battery, took off the battery plate, unbolted the ground, sanded the body, added some extra wire just for fun, painted and reinstalled.
