Default Stock Seat Issues

Ok, I've ******* had it with these damn annoying *** stock seats in my '98 LX. (99% stock EJ6) They hurt my back if I drive around any longer than an hour in the car (I'm on the highway any time I go to visit relatives 5+ hours away). Any suggestions on seats (yes I've read the seat swap threads) that are more comfy for short shrimps like myself. Mostly looking for a seat where the back actually provides lower lumbar support

CL-S seats have adjustable lumbar support.

Thanks NARC, are those direct plug n' play or is there some work needed?

BB6 Prelude Seats are nice as well. They are definitely more comfortable than stock. Swap the rails and it's a direct bolt-in job.

They aren't even remotely plug and play. I have a how-to thread around here, though.

That reminds me, I need to finish the wiring information for that...

Well in my defense, one of the awesome mods posted a link to the actual wiring diagram in my thread. I know you have the critical thinking skills to figure it out. Conveniently enough, I do have pictures of the wires from when I had the seat out, so maybe...

Electronic circuits are not my forte, but I probably could.

I was seriously contemplating those seats, but my civic might actually become a dedicated track car in the near future..comfy seats not necessary anymore.

I just searched, but to make sure BB6 is base and SH models? I wouldn't mind some better seats in my car too.

Yeah, its like '98+.

I picked up a good set from a local pick n pull.

These seats aren't really sought after, so you should be able to grab a set pretty cheap.

NO **** SHERLOCK, can't keep directing people to your thread if theres no wiring diagram to go off of you know...hardware installs is cool but it be pointless if they couldn't adjust them.

Not enough CL-S in my area and if they were the seats were trashed by dumb locals.

Thanks! I'm going to add that to my to-do list.

I mean, I figured it out I'm not going to say it's basic wiring, but anyone with a logical mind could figure it out if they really wanted to.

Okaay, now that NARC has been reminded to post wiring pictures to that awesome thread I'm going to kindly say NOPE no CL-S seats for me-at least not until I see step by step pics with the wiring.

But the BB6 'lude seats sound interesting-once again 1.)Do they actually provide decent support to your back and 2.) What years? Based on the responses above I'm tempted to assume 98-01 base and SH models but you know what everyone says about assume right?

Do they provide more support? Yes, there is more support in it. I wish they had an adjustable lumbar support, but they don't. They aren't a straight board of a seat like th stock seats are. What is bigger on the list for me, is comfort. These seats are more comfortable than the stock seats, have actual side bolsters unlike the stock seats, and have an adjustable bottom on the driver seat.

Years? 5th generation Prelude is 96-01, according to the Wikipedia.

i liked the 92-96 lude seats as well. 98+ integra seats, hell even 99-00 civic seats are an upgrade. 92-95 seats are better as well... just about any stock seat is better than 96-98 civic seats.
